Joonas Ahonen, piano

Finnish Joonas Ahonen studied at the Sibelius Academy with Tuija
Hakkila and Liisa Pohjola. He has appeared as a soloist of the
Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Finnish RSO, Avanti! and Ictus.

Ahonen has given many premieres. Also his interpretations of classics
like Ives Sonata nr. 2, "Concord" and Ligeti Piano Concerto have won
critical acclaim.
Since 2011 he is a member of Klangforum Wien.

Ahonen is the artistic director of Lux Musicae Festival.
