
Sarah Schittek, Costumes
Sarah Schittek was born in Hanover and now lives in Zurich. After the completion of her studies of Costume Design and History of the Arts in Hanover and Berlin she assisted Anna Viebrock at the Schauspielhaus Zurich in 2003. There she developed the costumes for the production „O.T. eine Ersatzpassion” (Berliner Theatertreffen 2004), directed by Christoph Marthaler. Since then she has worked regularly with Marthaler as costume designer, for productions such as „Fama” (with Klangforum Wien in 2005), „Sauser aus Italien” (Salzburg Festival 2007) „PlatzMangel” (Rote Fabrik, Zurich 2007 and Berliner Theatertreffen 2008), the Theater im Waldhaus (Waldhaus Sils-Maria, 2008, Berliner Theatertreffen 2009); „Riesenbutzbach – Eine Dauerkolonie” (Vienna Festwochen 2009, Theatertreffen 2010). In addition, she has worked at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, at the Theater Basel, the Kammerspiele Munich and the Schauspielhaus Zürich with directors Schorsch Kamerun, Christiane Pohle and Clemens Sienknecht.
