
Isabelle Menke, Actress
Born in Bremen. During her High School she studied Piano and Flute and sang children’s solo parts and in the children’s choir in the Opera House of Bremen. After finishing the High School Isabelle Menke worked as Stage Assistant in opera and theatre in Hamburg. She visited the Drama School Mozarteum in Salzburg and was engaged as actrice in the theatres Theater Neumarkt Zürich, Schauspiel Hannover and Theater Basel (since 2006). She worked with directors as Jossi Wieler, Sebastian Nübling, Christoph Marthaler, Nicolas Stemann and Elias Perrig. As film actrice she played in films of Finton Connolly, Hardy Sturm and Ulrich Köhler. His film „Montag kommen die Fenster“ with Isabelle Menke in the main part was shown at the Berlinale 2006. In music theatre she worked as actrice with the composers, conductors and directors Ruedi Häusermann, Brice Pauset and Beat Furrer.
