Ute Vollmar, Dramaturgy

Ute Vollmar was born in Saarbrücken. She studied dramaturgy, dramatics and German literature at the theatre academy „August Everding”, based at the Prinzregententheater München and at the Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich. She was assistant dramaturg at the Bayerische Staatsoper Munich; and, from 2001 to 2004, dramaturg for music theatre and dance at the theatre in St. Gallen. From autumn 2004 until the summer of 2006 she worked for the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung in Munich. In 2006/07, she started work as musical dramaturg at the theatre in Basle where she has since collaborated with directors like Calixto Bieito, Jan Bosse and Georges Delnon.
