Vera Fischer, flute

Born in Basel, Switzerland in 1973. From 1992 to 1998 she studied the transverse flute with Günter Rumpel at the Zürich College for Music and graduated with an Orchestra and Concert Diploma with Honours. 
 
In 1997 and 1998 she won prizes from the Migros-Genossenschafts-Bundes and the Ernst Göhner-Foundation. Master course with Aurèle Nicolet, Jeanne Baxtresser, Raymond Guiot and Felix Renggli. Volunteer in the Tonhalle-Orchestra Zürich and Zürich Opera Orchestra. 
 
1996-1998 reserve for the Zürich Opera Orchestra and member of the Basel Sinfonietta. Diverse chamber music projects. Member of the "Trio Lepic", for which she has written numerous works. 
 
In 1999 awarded the Culture Prize from the canton of Riehen, Basel. Performer in the "Ittinger Pfingstkonzerten" under the direction of Heinz Holliger and Andras Schiff. 
 
She has been a member of Klangforum Wien since 1999.
